GovTechCon 2025

I had the pleasure of joining like-minded professionals to learn about the current and future state of Government Technology and career opportunities. The conference focused on 4 distinct areas, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Career Development. Now if you’re like me and wondering where good ole Digital Marketing fits in, I was there to gain insight into the intersection between AI, Cybersecurity, Customer Experience (CX), User Experience (UX), and the needs of the Government.

GovTechCon

Of course, I networked and learned about various tools, internal workings, and priorities however a few other aspects of the conference truly left an impression on me. To begin, GovTechCon instructed everyone to download an app that would help us navigate the conference details. The app included details like my profile (inclusive of my professional background and LinkedIn information), logistics, an agenda, as well as, the ability to register for workshop sessions and engage with other participants. I was able to find 2 to 3 other UX Designers before the conference even started, which was nice.

The conference offered hands-on workshops and some of the most down-to-earth and straightforward speakers I’ve encountered. Some of the key workshops I enjoyed included The Future of Federal Service, Tech-ing through Adversity, and Gov AI: Use Cases for the Public Sector. It was also helpful to attend the networking sessions and take headshots.

Attending this conference opened my eyes to various opportunities and broadened my network as well. For professionals in the private sector, I highly recommend attending!
